Alexander Margarita is a womenswear brand founded in 2023 by the mother-and-son duo Margarita and Alexander.

Both come from deep backgrounds in retail. Margarita has worked in the fashion and jewelry industry for over twenty years, & as determined single mother of 3 sons beginning with her own boutique, Alexander in 2016 named after her son and lifelong muse. The boutique became known for its carefully curated selection of exceptional pieces.

Alexander formally joined the business in 2020. With a passion for clothing and craftsmanship, he brought a distinctive point of view shaped by his experience dealing in vintage haute couture for private collectors. Through this work, he handled and studied extraordinary garments by the great houses, including Yves Saint Laurent for Dior and the legendary American designer Halston.

Alexander became fascinated with the construction of these pieces, often turning garments inside out to study their structure and craftsmanship. He would carefully take them apart and reassemble them in order to understand the couture techniques used by the masters. These discoveries deeply influenced his design perspective and approach to fabric, tailoring, and construction.

Margarita brings her own philosophy to the collection: femininity, delicacy, and a sense of beautiful weightlessness that carries her through her day as a busy mother and businesswoman. Her instinctive understanding of women—what they want to wear and what flatters every unique body—remains central to the brand.

For Alexander and Margarita, their true education came from life itself: dressing and undressing the finest garments, sourcing exceptional materials, and learning both from the brilliance and the mistakes of the garments.

Feeling that the market was missing something they themselves could not find, and encouraged by loyal clients and family, they began designing their own foundational wardrobe pieces. Initially created exclusively for their boutique, the collection focused on refined essentials made in exceptional couture silks and luxury fabrics.

In 2025, the brand expanded into the world of wholesale, developing a unique approach centered around intimate trunk shows and personal presentations. Their garments are designed to be experienced in person pieces meant to be touched, felt, and customized by the women who wear them.
